WhaleSENSE
We intentionally use our time with you to share the importance and intent behind the WhaleSENSE program. We also understand that the most effective way is to lead by example paired with education. You will experience and witness both. Remember we are entering the natural habitat of a protected species and our job is to minimize our vessels impact on their natural behaviors. Whales are magnificent creatures with predicably unpredictable behaviors. This keeps our captains on high alert; making critical moment to moment decisions. Protecting whales and understanding why they are so important to our marine ecosystem and the planet are just a few details you will learn. Tag along with us for more!

Check-in

Downtown check-in is 15 minutes BEFORE your tour's start time.

Statter Harbor check-in is 15 minutes AFTER your tour's start time.
AJ Dock

Plan Extra Time!!

AJ Dock is located 1 mile away from Goldbelt Tram. The City of Juneau provides a large bus to and from the Tram. (A small fee may be required/not included).

We Do Not Pick up from AJ Dock.
What to Wear

We operate in all weather conditions. Please consider warm layers of clothing with an outer layer that is waterproof. Comfortable, non-slip shoes are recommended.
Inclimate Weather

Your safety is our top priority. If we should need to cancel you will be offered a different date or a full refund.
Accessibility

We Do Not have a lift.

Folding wheelchairs are ok.

Folding walkers are ok.

All scooters must be left on land and stowed at your own risk.
Lost or Damaged Items

JWT is not responsible for lost or damaged personal items. Keep them safely in your zipped pockets or on a tether.
Cancellation Policy

We accept cancellations 24 hours prior to the scheduled date of your tour.
Minimum Passenger Requirement

We here at JWT are always aiming to reduce our impact on the environment. Therefore, a minimum of 8 participants is required on a tour. We will do our best to reschedule your party, if that is not feasible, we will issue a full refund.
